Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

This gooey chocolate chip banana bread is dangerously delicious. Whether it's a breakfast slice with coffee, mid-day pick me up, or late night treat, this recipe always hits the spot.




You'll need:

  • 4 ripe mashed bananas

  • 1/2 cup softened butter

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt

  • 1 1/3 cups flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

1. Grease a 9x5 loaf pan and preheat the oven to 325.

2. Using a stand mixer, cream the butter and sugars.

3. Meanwhile, mash bananas into a puree consistency.

4. Add the banana to the butter and sugar mix in along with the eggs, vanilla, and yogurt.

5. When all of your wet ingredients are thoroughly combined, add in the baking soda and salt.

6. Incorporate the flour 1/3 cup at a time.

7. On the lowest speed, fold in chocolate chips.

8. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and sprinkle the top with more chocolate chips.

9. Bake for approximately 1 hour. It should be cracked and golden on top. Use the tooth pick test if needed and let the loaf cool before slicing.
